Flora, fungi and lichen
I love flowers. Even when flowers have reached the end of their lives, so often their seed heads are equally amazing. It’s interesting how we seem to focus on the pristine and perfect and overlook the fascinating form of a flower or a leaf at the end of its days. You’ll certainly find a few of them in my selection below. As for fungi and lichen, at first sight they may not seem to be the obvious choice for inclusion on this website, but they are really quite fascinating. So many are so tiny that they will almost certainly be overlooked by most people but I do hope these images may help you to appreciate them as much as I do.
